A loan of $400 helped to buy basic medications.

Darcy's story

Darcy is 25 years old and is a very determined and enterprising woman, who likes work and knows that with effort she will succeed in making progress. She is married to Jhon who is a policeman for work. They strive to have a better quality of life. Together they live comfortably in their own home, which they bought before getting married. Darcy sells medications in small quantities from her home, serving mainly her neighbors who request her. In her spare time she also does manual work such as manicures and pedicures. In addition since 3 years ago she counts on a rotating job of customer service in a private pharmacy where she learned about medications.

She started the business of selling medications from home more than 3 years ago, making herself known because of the needs of the neighbors of her neighborhood for the medications that she sells. She carries out both businesses alone with much enthusiasm and charisma which characterize her.

She considers her business profitable because of the profits that it leaves her and the easiness to make them.

She decided to start her business, because of her desire to rely on an additional income and her knowledge about the business.

Therefore seeing the good results she wants to invest with the profits and penetrate into a future through her home with the sale of barbecue only on Sundays to increase her income. Therefore this will be the loan number 2 with the microfinance institution. She is very happy to know that she has financial support, since in this manner she feels sure of advancing with her business. In addition she commits to be punctual in her payments. In this manner she will obtain the trust of the institution and have access to loans in the future.

With the amount requested of 1,000 PEN, she will invest it in the purchase of medications for primary needs. In this manner she will increase the stock available for sale, seeking low prices for her volume purchases.
