A loan of $325 helped to buy materials such as slats, irapay leaves, and others for the construction of another shed for 1000 chickens.

Esther's story

Esther is 59 years old and is an enterprising, charismatic woman with an eagerness to overcome. She separated from her partner many years ago. She has one daughter who has just completed her university studies. Together they live comfortably in her own home.

Esther raises farm chickens. She has a barn with a 500 chicken capacity located on her own land. She sells to merchants in nearby markets and has won her clientele by timely delivery and good service.

She started this activity thanks to an idea of her former partner, in order to support him with a small contribution of capital. She considers it to be profitable since she has a good income, and she can support her daughter with the expenses of her studies and give them both a better quality of life.

She hopes to continue growing and expanding her shed and thus have higher production. Before she started this business she didn't have economic problems, but decided to start in order to have an occupation and to grow as an entrepreneur. Now seeing good results, she wants to continue with the business. This will be her first loan with MFP. She feels happy to know that the financial support will advance her business. That is why she is committed to be punctual with the payments as she has been with past loans. Also, she feels comfortable with this loan because of the group unity and solidarity.

With the 800 nuevos soles ($325) requested, she will invest them in buying materials like slats, irapy leaves and others for the construction of another shed with a capacity for 1000 chickens, thus increasing her production capacity and growing her business. She is looking for great prices by purchasing at such a high volume.
