Lucia's story

Lucia, 33, lives in the Congo Town community, with her husband and three children. Her children are between the ages of 18 and 20, and are in school. Lucia has a cook shop (restaurant) in her community, where she has been selling food for the past four years. She sells six days a week, preparing different kinds of dishes every day for her customers. She prepares cassava leaves, palava sours, palm butter, and okra sauce, to meet her customers' demands. Because of her good service to her customers she makes profit every day.

She greatly appreciates the lenders, for their support in her business. She is requesting a loan to purchase more ingredients for the restaurant, so she can increase her sales. Her future plan is to build a house, and to educate her children.
