Mihane is forty-three and a married mother of six children, three boys and three girls. Her husband is disabled. They live in the southern part of Kosovo in very poor conditions. To earn a living, Mihane is planning to start her own business in the local market selling used phones and wallets. Because her husband is disabled, she must work hard to support her family.
She is in need of a loan in the amount of 1500 Euro in order to buy used phones and wallets at cheap prices and then to sell them at a higher price in the market.
Mihane is considering this a profitable business and she hopes to have income to support her family. She hopes in the future to get a shop for selling her products and her goal is to have better living conditions for her family.
Knowing that it is a Kiva loan she wants to thank all Kiva lenders for their support!

More information about this loan

This loan is part of KosInvest's new startup loan program targeting particularly vulnerable clients who live at subsistence and do not qualify for the standard loan due to lack of income from an existing business. This program offers clients up to a 6-month grace period on the loan. By funding this loan, you are supporting borrowers who have limited options to start and grow small businesses. This has the potential to alleviate the effects of poverty, significantly improving borrowers' incomes and their families' quality of life.
