Risalat's story

Risalat is 48 years old, married, and has 6 children. Four of her children work in the Russian Federation; the youngest two are in school. As a source of income for her family, Risalat took up animal husbandry and farming. She started with the piece of land alloted to her by the government after the collapse of the USSR, and today her business brings in about 5,000 som (KGS) from animal husbandry and farming. Because of Risalat's hard work, she now has four milk cows.

With an aim to further develop her business, Risalat applied to Bai Tushum & Partners for a loan of 135,000 som (KGS) to buy bulls and cows. Risalat plans to invest the profit in further growing her business by increasing the size of her herd. Among her plans are to give her youngest children a good education and to marry off her middle son.
