A loan of $1,325 helped to renovate toilette and house.

Biljana's story

Biljana, 33 years old, comes from a vulnerable ethnic minority community. She is married and has three children, ranging from 10 to 13 years old, all of whom are in school. Biljana’s husband is employed as a driver in a hospital. Biljana works in kindergarten with very low salary. The money that she and her husband generate is not enough to cover all of the daily living expenses. Many people from these minority communities in Kosovo, such as Biljana and her family, live in poor conditions. They lack access to proper nutrition and care, as well as being exposed to unsanitary conditions. Although raising children and keeping food is difficult at this time, Biljana is always optimistic and smiling. She is requesting the loan to renovate their toilette and complete some renovations in the house. The loan will improve her family's living conditions. Her goal is to give her children better education. She promises she will repay the loan on time. She is very grateful to the KIVA lenders for improving her family’s conditions and contributing to her children’s overall health.
