Christina's story

Born in 1952, Christina is married with five children. She became a member of GHAPE and received a first loan of $30. With this loan she started a business of cassava farming and pig rearing. Cassava is a starch food product which has many uses. It is used as food when boiled and in manufacturing garri starch which is used as a bleaching agent on clothes. The income helped her pay school fees for her children.
Christina requests a loan to buy piglets, fowls, and seeds. With the profits, she will be able to pay her children’s school fees, increase her business and live well with her family. She plans to pay her loan in 24 months.
