A loan of $800 helped to buy tomatoes to resell and to pay for transport costs.

Yvonne's story

Yvonne sells tomatoes for a living. She is single and is 47 years old. She has two children, who are 22 and 8 years old. Both of her children go to school, and she has four other people under her care. She was born in Rwanda and has completed two years of secondary school.

She joined ACB Ltd. in 2009, but this is actually her first loan. With this loan, she is going to increase the amount of tomatoes that she sells and pay for their delivery to her shop.

An accident or sickness are the only difficulties that may prevent her from repaying the loan. She has a strategy to increase her business capital, and this will help her business grow. Her goal at the start is to become a important merchant in her area. The diversification of products that she sells will allow her to achieve this goal.

For her family, she is going to build a modern house and continue to pay for her children's schooling.
