Betty's story

Betty is a 48-year-old married woman with two children living in Masindi, Uganda. She operates a bar business and with the income earned she has been able to pay school fees for her children. Her business is within the major market place of the town thus has many customers. Bottle breakages due to drunken customers and inadequate capital to meet the demand pose great challenges, but her dream is to own a modern bar in town. Betty intends to use the loan to buy beers and sodas to sell after the Christmas season.
