Thy is 48 years old. She is widowed and resides with two children in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia. She has been selling groceries for more than four years, earning approximately $25 daily. One of her children is a garment worker who earns about $4 each day.
Due to the difficulty in her family’s transportation, Thy is requesting a loan of $1500 to purchase a motorbike for commuting. This purchase will help her reduce transportation expenses. In the future, she would like to expand her store and help her youngest child earn a higher education. She also wants to build a new, bigger house, if possible.
