A loan of $800 helped to purchase canned goods and other staple items to restock her business.

Benedicta's story

Benedicta is 33 years old, and is married to Julio, who is 41 years old. They have four small children, and the family lives in an adobe house. Benedicta and Julio work very hard to give their kids access to high quality education.

Since they wanted to spend more time with her children, Benedicta and Julio decided to open up a small grocery and convenience store in their home. Their store has been open for 12 years now, and has become the main source of income for their family. Through the busy store and business, Benedicta has gotten to know her neighbors much better, which in turn has grown her customer base.

Her store sells products such as rice, sugar, staple grains and other products, and she also sells tanks of gas for home and daily use.

Benedicta wants to increase the variety of products she can offer to her customers, and also wants to further stock her business, since the demand for canned and staple goods is on the rise. Her future plans include building a house out of reliable, sturdy materials to create a more welcoming space for her clients. She plans to use the support from this loan to purchase canned goods and daily household items to restock her business.
