A loan of $400 helped to buy inventory.

Victor's story

Victor is 46 years old, married to 44 year old Ernestina and has three reasons for living; his children, Rosemary, Kelly, and Lizet. Like a good, responsible father, he is proud to know that his is the supporter of the household and that he has managed to build his house with solid materials. Since he was a boy he has helped his parents in their clothes selling business and it was this way that he learned what he needed to know to become an independent businessman 20 years ago.

He says that he decided to continue with this trade because the profits are good and it’s always possible to recover the cost of the merchandise.

He develops his business alongside Ernestina and his children for small tasks. He likes being a small businessman where he works and has made many friends. This has helped him to become a good source of men’s clothing.

He wants to expand his inventory with new styles for the year end season, which is a good time for local businesses.

His plans for the future are to acquire an establishment in his regional capital in order to grow and provide his children with a higher education. He needs a loan of 1,000 PEN to add to his own money so that he can buy polo shirts, pants and other men’s clothing.
