Margaret's story

Margaret, age 50, is a farmer in Ndaragwa County in Kenya. She has been practicing mixed farming for the past 30 years. Her farm produces milk and vegetables, which Margaret sells at the local market in her area. She tells us that drought is her primary challenge as a farmer. She runs a retail shop as an additional source of income. Margaret lives with her two children, both of whom are enrolled in school. She is requesting a loan in the amount of 20,000 KES loan from Juhudi Kilimo. She will use her loan funds to purchase farm inputs, which will assist her in expanding her farming and increasing her harvest. She will gain more income as a result, which will help her improve her family's living standards and pay for her children's schooling.
