A loan of $800 helped to purchase bags of rice, maize and fish.

Grace's story

Grace is married and has four children. Her husband is a farmer. Grace cooks rice and kenkey (a fermented corn and cassava dough that is wrapped in corn or banana leaves), which she serves with fried fish and vegetable sauce at Kwalinkrom near Elmina. Grace has had this business for three years.

Grace is requesting a loan, which she will use to purchase bags of rice, maize, and fish required in preparing her food. She uses her income to support her husband with the general upkeep of their children. Grace hopes to use her profits from her expanded business to mount a better stall for the sale of her food.
