Asi's story

Asi lives with her husband who is a farmer and her four children at Mbeam near Abura. Asi produces fanti kenkey for sale. Fanti kenkey is a local food that is similar to sourdough dumplings and is made out of maize. She has been in this business for six years now. She uses her income to assist her husband in paying their bills. Asi will use her loan to purchase bags of maize to produce her kenkey for sale. With the new profits she earns, she will expand her business.
