A loan of $1,075 helped a member to buy fertilizer.

Touch's Group's story

Touch is a 53-year-old married woman who resides in a rural village of Battambang's Moung Russey district in Cambodia. She has seven children, three of whom (all sons) remain under her responsibility.

To support the family, Touch farms rice and plants pineapples, earning around 48,000 KHR daily. She is leading a group comprised of three female members, all of whom are third-time borrowers with VisionFund (Kiva's partner), to seek a loan in the amount of 1,400,000 KHR each. As the group representative, Touch comments that the previous loans have helped her to relieve the burdens of her family. This time, she will use her portion of the loan to buy fertilizer to support her business. This hard-working woman dreams to be able to build a warm house in which her beloved family can live.
