A loan of $1,175 helped to buy more patented drugs.

Magdalene's story

This is 52 year-old Magdalene. She is widowed and has 5 children aged eight, ten, fourteen, eighteen and twenty-three. She has 2 additional dependents, who live with her to help with the household chores. In 2009, Magdalene established her patented drugs business, which she started in order to be self-reliant after losing her previous job. Her business is located in the city center and her main customers are lactating mothers, pregnant women and children. Working 6 days a week and 12 hours a day, she earns about SLL 1,280,000 every month.

Magdalene has already received and successfully repaid 3 loans, and now requires a new loan of SLL 5,000,000 in order to buy paracetamol, multivitamins, miratone, amoxiline, and diglofenac. She hopes that this loan will improve her stock. In the future, Magdalene plans to transform the business from a patented drugs store into a pharmacy. She thanks you for your support.
