A loan of $725 helped a member to buy fertilizers and seeds for her farmland.

Maline's Group's story

Living in a rural village located in the Ek Phnom district, Maline is the 36-year-old mother of five children, one daughter and four sons. Rice farming has been her main source of income for ten years. With her current business, she can earn about KHR 36,000 per day and can save about KHR 10,000 each day for her future needs. Maline is the leader of a group of two borrowers who live in the same village. She is in her fourth loan cycle while her group member is a seven-time client of VisionFund. Maline successfully used her previous loans to improve her standard of living. She will use her portion of the current loan to buy fertilizers and seeds for her farmland. She hopes this loan will enable her to increase her family’s income, and she also hopes to keep her children in school.
