A loan of $1,625 helped a member to buy used garments.

Kuña Guapa Group's story

Kuña Guapa Communal Bank is made up of 10 women who are in their second loan cycle. The bank formed when various neighbors in the city of Santaní got together.

One of these women is Gabriela, who makes a living selling used clothing with her husband and her two children. Thanks to their effort, she and her husband give their children everything they need to have a decent life without the hardships they themselves had to suffer. Gabriela says her business is doing very well; sales of her garments are going up because they're cheaper.

She's requesting this loan to be able to buy more garments to continue giving her customers a good variety.

She's grateful for the help they receive because it's very important to them.
