A loan of $400 helped to buy clay, twigs, and other materials to make bricks.

Arnaldo's story

Arnaldo is 32 years old and is a responsible man. He lives with his wife, Miriam and their daughter, Vameri, who they raise in their own home where they have lived for the past two years.

From the early hours at the very start of the day, he goes out to prepare the earth that he uses to make bricks. He does a hard day's graft, working without a break until the sun sets. He says that he learnt everything he needed to make bricks from a young age, and with time he also learnt how to make roof tiles. Today, he makes 13 thousand a month for regular customers, because he has many contacts, and despite his age he has a lot of experience in this field.

“Thanks to my efforts, I was able to build my own house, in good condition, and I hope to put the finishing touches to it soon." he explains. At the moment he says he is making the most of every last ray of sunlight, because the rainy season starts soon and the bricks take a while to dry.

This is his third loan with MFP, and he is grateful for the support he has received, because throughout all this time he was able to boost his income and keep his business in good financial condition. He promises to make his loan repayments on time.

Arnaldo will use the money to buy clay, twigs and other materials to make bricks.
