A loan of $1,175 helped to buy sewing supplies like fabric, buttons and needles.

Reyna Isabel's story

Reyna, 61, has two children; she’s a single mother living with one of her daughters and grandchildren in Taulabe, Comayagua. She’s had her own clothes-making business for 14 years; she makes dresses, pants, skirts, curtains, sheets, shirts, uniforms and does clothing repair. She used to sell cosmetics and did household chores. Today, she spends more time in her sewing workshop.

She’s requesting a 23,000 Lempira loan which will be her 11th ODEF loan cycle and she will use it to buy fabric, thread, needles, buttons and other supplies she needs to make clothes she has on order for the Christmas season. Her short-term goal is to earn profits to repair her house’s roof.
