A loan of $1,175 helped to buy a cow.

Andrea's story

Andrea, 67, is a cheerful, hardworking woman. She lives with her husband, Marcelino, in a house they built with much effort. From the very first hours of the day she rises to start caring for and feeding her animals. She owns cows, bulls and sheep she cares for diligently every day. Her work consists in fattening them up and reselling them for a higher price. “During the Christmas season, people consume much meat so I sell a lot,” she affirms. Andrea and her husband also plant because like all good farmers and children of the countryside, they want to continue raising their animals to continue earning profits since they still have the strength to go on. This is her 7th MFP loan and she’s grateful for the support provided all this time because she was able to speed up her income and maintain the business in good financial condition so she promises to be punctual with her installment payments. Andrea will use the money to buy a cow to increase her herd size.
