Karina's story

Karina, 26, is a hardworking woman living since birth with her parents and siblings in their house. She’s been manufacturing refreshing beverages for five years. She’s gradually grown thanks to her efforts and the many hours of daily sacrifice. Her work consists in making carbonated beverages herself as well as various fruit juices which she then bottles and packages in bags. Her work is constant. She’s a very hardworking, ambitious woman who wants to develop her knowledge of industrial engineering and to make her business grow. For the moment, her production is sold in various cities in the country and she often has difficulty during the rainy season which is why she always takes preventive measures. Her mother helps her with production; “She’s my right hand,” she mentions. This is the fifth MFP loan and she’s grateful for the support she’s gotten because in all this time she’s been able to speed up her income and maintain her business in good financial condition so she promises to be punctual with her installment payments. Karina will invest the money in the purchase of necessary ingredients like sugar, flavoring agents, coloring agents and fruit to make the juices. She will also buy large amounts of recyclable bottling packaging.
