A loan of $975 helped to buy merchandise for his store -- rice, sugar, pasta, tuna, etc.

Enrique Gonzalo's story

Enrique is a very hard-working man. He lives with his wife, who is a homemaker. Together they have 4 children, whose ages are between 3 and 9. His home is located in the hot city of Nazca, where many tourist attractions such as the Nazca lines are found. Because of his limited resources, he was only able to go to school through the fifth year of secondary education, but he would have liked to study architecture.

Enrique works every day as a bricklayer. He works about 8 hours a day, since with this work and with much effort he is able to support his family. He feels that his work is going well for him because he is very responsible and completes projects of good quality.

Enrique very much appreciates the Kiva lenders for the help that they have offered him, since thanks to this he will be able to begin his grocery-selling business. With the loan he will be able to buy merchandise such as rice, sugar, pasta, and tuna, among other items, and thus be able to offer a variety of products to his customers. In this way he will be able to continue working to make his greatest dream a reality: to construct a two-story home.
