A loan of $600 helped to buy poultry for her farm.

Mukonjia's story

Mukonjia is a resident of Kitale and has been an active farmer for six years. She is married and has two children, ages 5 and 13. Her farm currently produces eggs and maize for the local market.

Mukonjia has requested a loan of 50,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to help her buy more poultry. She is optimistic that she will earn more income to expand the business and to educate the children, besides being a leader in supplying the local market.

Mukonjia says her major challenge remains animal and poultry diseases.
