A loan of $350 helped to buy poultry for his farm.

Samuel's story

Samuel is a resident of Kitale in Western Kenya, where he lives with his wife and their two children, ages 2 and 8. He has been farming for five successive years and runs the farm with the help of one farmhand. His farm currently produces eggs and maize to supply the local market. Samuel has requested a loan of 30,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to buy poultry. He says this will help improve his family income and also improve his farming business, which he believes will grow to over one thousand birds and three quality dairy cows. He does, however, mention animal diseases as a challenge.
