Boaz's story

Boaz, 36, is a resident of Kitale who has been in active in farming on his home farm for ten consecutive years. He is married and has six children between three and fourteen years old. His farm produce currently includes milk and eggs, which he sells in the local market.

Boaz has requested a loan of 60,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to buy poultry. He says this will give him better farming income and generally help to improve the family farming business. His wish for the next five years is to run a farm with five quality dairy cows and to become a major supplier of both dairy and poultry products in the local market.

He mentions animal diseases as a common challenge in this business.
