A loan of $1,125 helped to stock her store.

Milena Patricia's story

Milena is 31 years old and has a small business in a nearby town where she sells party supplies such as piñatas, balloons, strikers, and other things which she sells from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Her brother in law helped her start her business because he is a veteran merchant and helped her get merchandise because she only had a little capital. Her greatest challenge was to have enough money to invest and increase her sales of quick selling items given the high demand in her sector. Little by little her business was growing and the increase in requests for merchandise and increased number of customers has prompted her to request a Kiva loan.

This will be her first loan through Fundación Mario Santo Domingo and she will use the money to buy balloons, cards, piñatas, candy, envelopes, and consumables. This will allow her income to increase as a result of increased sales and a good investment of her Kiva loan.
