Kassem is a 35-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and three children, who are still studying. He’s doing the best he can to satisfy his family's demands and offer them a fair way of living.
He has been working in the construction field since 1997. He specializes in wall foliage and is waiting for the perfect time to grow in this occupation.
Today, he’s asking to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase metal scaffolding for his business. This will facilitate his work and allow him to offer his customers a well done job.
In the future, he plans to open his own wall foliage products shop.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
