Hawa's story

Hawa, 49, lives in the Congo Town community. She is married and a mother of three children between the ages of 12 and 24. They all live at home and are in school.

She is hardworking and has been managing her business for the past 14 years. She sells palm oil, rice, onions, vita, salt, cooking oil, and many other items. Hawa sells from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. She received the initial capital from her husband to start in this business. She makes a profit when she sells. She uses some of the profit to buy more goods and help her husband with the expenses of the family. She uses a commercial vehicle to transport her goods to her business area.

She has requested a loan to purchase more palm oil, rice, pepper, vita, onions and salt for the business. Her dream is to build a house and educate her children.
