A loan of $1,875 helped a member to invest in supplies to prepare food.

Mujeres Unidas Por Siempre Group's story

Señora Carmen Rosa is 63 years old, single, and has no children. She is part of the "Mujeres Unidas por Siempre" (Women United Forever) group, which has six members. They are all hard-working and responsible women, characteristics which were necessary to check to create the group.

Señora Carmen Rosa has worked for the past ten years selling food. This work has helped her to cover personal expenses and support her family. She began her business in the doorway of her home, serving few customers. Little by little, people heard about the business and tried her food, and this is how her customer base grew.

She will invest the loan to buy larger quantities of supplies so that it costs her less. She will buy bags of rice and sugar, oil, and any products that do not go off and she can store.

In this group: Carmen Rosa, Kassandra Marily, Norma Beatriz, Cecilia Beatriz, Rosario Vilma, Isabel Patricia
