A loan of $750 helped to repair his motorcycle, to buy an oven and other bakery supplies.

Benjamín Obed's story

Benjamín, 20, is single living with his mother and two siblings. He’s the oldest. His other brother attends school and works in his uncle’s bakery and his 11-year-old sister goes to school and helps his mother work in the fields. For the moment, Benjamín works delivering bread and helps his stepfather in the bakery.

Benjamín worked for three years in a local cheese factory but the factory shut down and he started to work for his uncle delivering bread; he also knows how to make it. The loan he’s asking Fundación Campo for is to repair his motorcycle and to buy a six-can oven, flour, shortening, yeast and rolling pins to start setting up his bakery. He hopes his bakery will have good results because he already has customers and he plans to use profits earned to buy a new motorcycle.
