Germaine, age 46, is divorced with five children between the ages 11 and 31. She has four children currently attending school. She is representing the Prudence 1 group.

Germaine has a grocery shop, and has been operating it for 25 years! She has gained valuable experience, loyal customers, and a good reputation in her community throughout the years.

Germaine will use the loan to buy rice, oil, peanuts, peanut butter, and beans to sell in her shop. Her business strategy is to offer friendly and helpful customer service.

Germaine has received one previous loan from HOPE Congo, Kiva's partner; she has a good repayment record.

She wants to have a cement depot in the future. She hopes her children will stay in school and get a good education.
