A loan of $1,500 helped to buy lumber and a saw.

Dolca's story

Dolca, 47, is a kind, very good woman. She’s married to Edwin with whom she has four children who are 22, 16, 13 and 7 years old respectively. They live together in a house of their own that they were able to buy with much effort. Dolca’s work consists in buying and selling lumber. She buys pieces from various sawmills that she processes into slats or boards. Everything she produces she stores in her warehouse where she sells the lumber individually. She carries out the entire process in sawmills where she gets the lumber and her sales take place at home. She’s been working like this for more than 20 years and is doing well. She works with help from her husband and is currently setting up a processing workshop so that they can do all the wood transformation work themselves and be able to obtain higher profits.

She’s very happy that she’s doing well since he earns a good profit margin on the sold lumber. She hopes to be able to expand the business so she can earn more income. This is MFP loan #9 and she’s grateful to those who provide her with the opportunity to access this loan that will give her the security to stay in business. On the other hand, she once again commits to make her monthly payments punctually. She will use the requested 3,800 soles to buy lumber to start the transformation process again; she will also buy a diamond tip saw to make perfect cuts in her small workshop.
