A loan of $600 helped to buy a laptop for his daughters.

Danny's story

Danny’s single and has two school age daughters; they live in a rented, two-bedroom house located in the city of La Paz’s Periférica zone. He needs the loan to buy a laptop that will be very useful for his daughters’ schooling to do their homework. Danny works more than ten hours daily as a salaried driver and sometimes into the late night hours since he’s the only one covering food, schooling and basic utility costs for his family. Danny’s dream is to acquire an ‘anticrético’ (a legal contract between a property owner and a tenant whereby the former received a lump sum in advance for a period of no less than a year and no greater than two years allowing the tenant to live in the apartment or house. At the end of said period of time, the amount advanced is returned to the tenant who must then vacate the property) to provide more comfort and security for his daughters and also to be able to cover their schooling so they can become professionals. This is the first time he’s worked with IMPRO and KIVA.
