A loan of $200 helped to buy and transport general grocery products to sell.

Honorine's story

Honorine is married with two children below the age of 15. The family lives in a five-room apartment in Bamenda, North West Region, Cameroon.

Honorine has faced some difficulties in life. A member of her family died after spending some time in the hospital and one of her children has been ill. She has had problems with feeding her children well and catering for their education. She has also had problems finding adequate capital to start up a business.

With the loan she has requested, Honorine will expand her business by buying more items to sell such as soap, laundry products, stocks and sauces and fruit drinks.

Part of the loan will be used for transporting products from the market to her business site.

Honorine believes her business will succeed because of her years of experience and the high demand for her products. She has a good business site and has regular customers who buy from her.

Her community will benefit because they will not need to travel long distances to buy fruit drinks.

With the profits from her loan, Honorine will expand her business, help improve her family's housing conditions, and provide for her family's health and education. She prefers to use a loan from GHAPE because of the convenient repayment period, low interest and the social education provided at their meetings.
