A loan of $200 helped to buy materials needed to improve her locale's infrastructure where she sells food.

Medita's story

Medita is 27 years old, is a driven and hard working woman and is also happy and friendly. She has been separated for three years and lives comfortaby with her children of 11, 8 and 5 years of age in her mother's house. Medita's business is selling food for dinner which she does Monday-Friday. She provides her customers with friendly service and receives a great welcome and demand from them. She also sells grilled chicken on Sundays which she has done for five years with the help of her mother. She began this business with a loan.

She notes that her business is profitable because her food has good flavor. Her income allows her to pay the bills and househould expenses. What she does not like is that when it rains her business floods. This does not discourage her though and she continues working. Because of the rain, she hopes to expand, fix up and improve her roof so that she can serve her customers with more comfort. This will be her first loan with MFP. She awaits the collaboration so that she can finalize her plans. She hopes to also meet those of the communal bank which she will become a member of because she already considers the members to be responsible.

With 500 nuevos soles she will invest in fixing up her business and it's roof so that she can attend to her customers in greater comfort.
