Enrique's story

Enrique is 50 years old and is a very sincere and hardworking man. He lives in a home of his own and separated from his wife of many years just a few months ago. They had three children together, two of whom are adults and on their own. Only the youngest one, age 17, depends on him so that he can continue his studies. He is the reason he works; so that he can provide him with a better quality of life.

Enrique works in multiple trades that he has done all his life. At the moment he is working as a mason and he is well sought after by his neighbors whenever they have a job or a wall that needs to be built anywhere in Pucallpa. He is the most experienced mason, so he is the most sought after. He works with the number of people he needs to complete the task and hires people as needed. He is doing well because aside from doing this work he also drives a moto-taxi, which provides him with an additional income.

He likes to work in construction. He knows that this is a dignified profession and he was able to provide a good education and quality of life for his family. He has been doing this for 12 years and considers the most difficult part to be carrying the heavy bricks and having to handle the cement with his hands, which speeds up their aging. He wants to update his tools so that he can improve the work he does. He also wants to update some parts on his vehicle.

This will be his 14th loan through MFP and he is very happy to know that they will give him financial backing to continue with his plans. He doesn’t want to not be able to repay due to lack of funds, so he is committed to being on time and responsible. He is very happy to be able to continue with this group because they follow through and are friendly.

He will use the 1,500 PEN from this loan to buy supplies, such as lumber and slats to be able to continue with his work. He will also buy some tools and parts to change out the defective ones on his moto-taxi.
