Mirta's story

Mirta is 40 years old and is a happy, dynamic, and enterprising woman. She is divorced and lives with her two daughters, ages 21 and 17 who help her with the household shores. She owns her home and was able to build it with her daughters’ help. Mirta sells stylish men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing of various brands and styles. She has many customers and sells on foot and also from her home and has been doing this for five years; alone but very happily. She also provides transportation. She started doing this eight months ago. What she likes is that it generates an income that allows her to financially sustain her home. She is happy and very satisfied. She wants to continue working and looking for a profitable business, so she plans to buy a better vehicle to transport passengers, such as a van. Therefore, this will be her first loan through MFP. She is very happy with this opportunity and is committed to being on time with her payments. She is also happy with her communal bank and considers the member to be united and responsible. She will use the 800 PEN from this loan to buy more clothing for the Christmas season.
