A loan of $2,400 helped a member to purchase seeds, fertilizer and piglets.

Santi Pala Group's story

Now the rainy season is approaching and the Santi Pala group are preparing to plant new crops. They are requesting a new loan to purchase watermelon seeds, cucumber seeds, chilli seeds, etc., as well as fertilizer. Some of the group members will also use the money to purchase piglets.

I Wayan, 48, lives with his wife and one adult child. Besides using his portion of the loan for crops, he will also purchase piglets. He hopes both of his businesses can produce a maximum yield. He plans to use the profits to renovate his house and prepare for the Hindu holiday.
