A loan of $375 helped to pay for raw materials like fabrics, thread, and other materials needed in her business.

Nelly's story

This is Nelly. She previously accessed a 13,000 PHP loan that she used to purchase quantities of raw materials like fabric, thread, and other materials needed in her business. Her earnings were a big help for the education of her children and in their personal, household, and business expenditures.

She would like to apply for another loan of 15,000 PHP to buy additional supplies of raw materials like fabric and thread. Her profits from the business will definitely help her to sustain her daily needs and with her children’s education. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Nelly hopes to grow her business in the coming years and dreams of being able to give her family a good future and to send her children to college through all her hard work. She faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her work every week, where she also draws strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay microfinance loans.
