A loan of $1,100 helped to buy basic household products, school supplies and stationery.

Verónica De La Nube's story

Verónica has been part of the Zhullin communal bank for 2 1/2 years. She is a very cheerful and participative member of her group. She lives in the community of Zhullin, in the neighboring city of Azogues. There one can find many tourist, handicraft, religious, cultural, and ecological sites, along with
a varied and very delicious cuisine and the Virgin of the Cloud who is venerated by the faithful of the entire country.

The city has a great wealth of tradition, with its old houses with carved wooden balconies, and the Cathedral located in the Central Plaza, with its imposing stone façade.

Verónica is 29 years old, married, and has two children ages seven and three. Her eldest son goes to school, and she is also very happy because she is in her eighth month of pregnancy, and everything is going very well at the moment. Her husband works as a employee of a private company, and the home where they live is their own.

She has had a store for seven years, where she sells basic household necessities, school supplies and stationery. She works from Sunday to Sunday and has no fixed hours.

She is going to use the money from her new loan to buy basic household products, school supplies and stationery. Her goal is to complete her home, as it still needs some finishing work.
