A loan of $1,150 helped a member to buy ingredients for making food.

Tacagua Gs.26 Group's story

The mutually supportive group Tacagua GS 26 is made of three members, all of whom are women. The coordinator of the group is 26-year-old Señora Abigail. She is married and has two children of the ages 2 and 6 years old. She makes a living selling food in the area of Alto Tacagua in the city of La Paz.

This loan is her second cycle with the institution. Señora Abigail is going to use the loan to invest in the purchase of ingredients for making her food, like wholesale rice, noodles, potatoes, and oil. Her reason for asking for the loan is her lack of capital.

Abigail faces challenges with her business because the prices have gone up and often the ingredients are scarce. She is going to use the benefits to continue buying ingredients for making her food. Señora Abigail is a very hard-working person, and she feels happy and grateful to the institution for the help it has offered.
