Arco Iris Ii Group's story

Arco Iris II Communal Bank is made up of nine members, all women. Elena, 53, is the president of the bank. She has two children, ages 17 and 19, who are university students.

Elena makes a living selling staples such as groceries, sweets, soda, and a variety of items in her neighborhood store. This loan is her second sequence with the institution.

Elena's going to use the loan to buy groceries to stock her business: rice, pasta, flour, and sugar wholesale. This way she'll have a variety of products for her customers. Her reason for requesting the loan is to continue improving in her business. Elena's going to use the profits to continue buying products and improving her income. Her desire for the business is to have a store and give her customers better service.

Elena's a very hardworking person. She's happy about this opportunity and about her colleagues in the group because in many cases they're people who get their families ahead by themselves.
