A loan of $475 helped a member to renovate her old house.

Jonh's Group's story

A widowed mother of four children, Jonh is aged 48 years and lives in a rural village of the Kror Kor district, Pursat province, Cambodia. To support her family, she has struggled to farm rice as the main source of the family’s income. To add more income, she also raises pigs in her local area. She has been doing these activities for ten years. Her current business earns her about 26,000 KHR per day, and she is able to save about 10,000 KHR each day.

Jonh has been with VisionFund for four loan cycles and completely paid back the past loans, while the other group members have been with VisionFund for one cycle. Now they are applying for a new loan. As the leader, Jonh is going to use her portion of the loan to renovate her old house. She hopes this loan will enable her to have a decent house for living in.
