Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $625 helped to buy blocks, cement, sand, iron, wire ties, zinc, beams, and doors.

Maura Gioconda's story

Maura is an upstanding community member and a local high school teacher of elementary education. She is married and has one son for whom she provides all academic assistance. She came to the Ceprodel office to explain her financial need to meet these education expenses, to build a new kitchen, and to improve her living conditions. This loan will be used to buy blocks, cement, sand, iron, wire ties, zinc, beams, and doors. She is deserving of Ceprodel's help because she earns a low salary and needs the loan to raise her living standard.
