Ken is a resident of Mombasa, Kenya. He is a married businessman who owns a butchery, a trade that he has run for about a year. He learned of Milango from a friend and joined in order to access funds. He is applying for a loan in the amount of 21,100 Kenyan shillings in order to add stock to the butchery (beef and poultry meat).
The only challenges in the business are strong competition and the lack of an adequate meat supply. But Ken is determined to carry out his operations well because he believes this venture can help establish his family. His future ambition is to be able to open other stalls/shops.
