A loan of $2,000 helped a member to pay for soft drinks.

Bonheur 2 Group's story

Gisele, age 39, is married with five children, ages 7 to 19 years old. She has four children currently attending school. She also cares and provides for her husband's child. Gisele is representing the Bonheur 2 group. She has a drink depot where she sells a variety of soft drinks. She has had this business for two years. She will use the loan to buy more drinks to replenish her store. The majority of soft drinks in Congo are still sold in glass bottles. Customers bring their empty glass bottles to a vendor and buy full bottles. Her business strategy is to travel to her customers and pick up empty bottles and bring them full bottles.

Gisele has received four previous loans from HOPE Congo, Kiva's partner. She has a good repayment record. She wants to continue to grow her business. She hopes that all of her children will finish school.
