A loan of $600 helped to buy inputs to grow maize, niébé and peppers.

Louis's story

Louis, age 40, is married to a merchant named Odile. The couple have six children, some of whom go to school. In addition to their children, they have another child in their care. The family all live together, and Louis and his wife handle the various household responsibilities.

Louis did not attend school. He has been a farmer for 20 years. He is passionate about his activity, which allows him to support his family.

To expand his activity, Louis wants to buy inputs to grow maize, niébé (black-eyed peas) and peppers. He buys his supplies in a city of Benin.

To achieve customer satisfaction, he is seeking a sixth loan from ALIDé. This credit will help him to meet customer demand and to bolster his profits. All past loans were repaid without incident.
