A loan of $400 helped to buy farm supplies for growing peppers, black-eyed peas and okra.

Jérémie's story

Jérémie is 47 years old and married to Jacqueline, who is a trader. The couple have 12 children. Some of their children are in school and all of them are still dependent on their parents. Jérémie and his wife live in the same house together with their children. Jérémie never attended school. In parallel with his work as a crop farmer, Jérémie has also been cattle farming for around ten years. With the aim of increasing his production and meeting his customers' needs, Jérémie would like to buy some farm supplies for growing peppers, black-eyed peas and okra. He stocks up in a market in Benin. This is the sixth time that he has requested a loan from ALIDé. All of his previous loans were repaid on time.
